Summer in Canmore is nothing short of spectacular. Long daylight hours, turquoise lakes, towering mountain peaks, incredible restaurants, world-class hiking, and endless outdoor adventures make it one of Canada's most unforgettable summer destinations.
Whether you're visiting for a long weekend or spending a few weeks exploring the Rockies, Canmore offers the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. Unlike many mountain towns, Canmore has retained its local charm while growing into a vibrant destination filled with incredible independent businesses, chef-driven restaurants, craft breweries, galleries, boutiques, and welcoming neighbourhoods.
One of the biggest advantages of staying in Canmore is its location. You're just 15 minutes from Banff, within easy reach of Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Kananaskis, Yoho National Park, and the world-famous Icefields Parkway. At the same time, Canmore is a destination worth exploring in its own right.
Whether you're here to hike, bike, golf, paddle, or simply enjoy the mountain atmosphere, here's our complete guide to experiencing Canmore in the summer.
