Our Story
Today, that vision is shared by a dedicated full-time team. Melissa leads the company alongside Lisa, who oversees guest communications and operations, and Jira, who leads unit care and ensures every property is maintained to the highest standard. Together, they work closely with homeowners and guests every day, providing responsive service, proactive communication, and an exceptional level of care before, during, and after every stay.
While our portfolio has grown over the years, our philosophy hasn’t changed. We believe hospitality starts with great communication, exceptional relationships, and managing every property as if it were our own.
Canmore Holiday Rental was founded in 2017 after Melissa and her husband Sean fell in love with life in the Bow Valley. Having lived in several provinces throughout Canada, they knew they’d found somewhere special in Canmore, where an active lifestyle, welcoming community, and incredible mountain scenery came together in a way that simply felt like home.
After purchasing a vacation property of their own, they saw an opportunity to create a different kind of vacation rental company. Melissa’s background in finance and customer service naturally led her into property management, but her vision extended well beyond bookings and occupancy. She wanted to create a collection of homes where guests immediately felt comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely at home.
